WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
In today’s fast paced world students are wondering what really is mobile app development. Mobile application development is the process of making or creating a mobile application to run on various mobile platforms. Software publishers are now moving every possible mobile application to run on tablets, smartphones, and also smartwatches.
Mobile apps are developed for a certain platform, and the two most popular platforms today are Android and iOS. There is no doubt that anyone with the skill to professionally develop mobile applications will be sought after and can have a bright future in the working world.
In this workshop students will develop a mobile application in pairs (progress depends on previous knowledge, programming skill and creativity). The development of an idea is as important as the final working application itself, there will be much time spent on developing the concept of the application where research, investigation and possible solutions are the key to success.
Students will also learn about the career opportunities available to them if they decide to choose a career in software development.
On Friday afternoons each pair will present their final working application or in some cases a presented idea. From time to time we have guest industry speakers in to speak with the group, maybe they will see an investment opportunity!

- Workshops are 22 hours per week

- Arrive on time!

Each student workshop is €75 per student per week.

15:00 - Return to home/school
Presentations take place on Friday afternoons, we finish at 14:30 on Fridays.
