WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
Our students are now accustomed to being in front of the camera whether it is posting images online, sending selfies to friends or uploading their very own videos to YouTube. A mind blowing statistic to back up this trend is that over 300 hours of video is posted to YouTube every minute!
In this workshop we introduce students to a variety of skills which are required to bring a short documentary to life. These skills include; how to choose a storyline, creating a storyboard and writing, character choice, location and setting, directing, editing such as sound and visual effects.
This is a very hands on workshop which has a strong focus on working as a team along with being creative. Students will work to a deadline and on the last day there is great excitement watching all the completed movies!

- Workshops are 22 hours per week
- Bring a morning snack and packed lunch
- Arrive on time!

Each student workshop is €75 per student per week.

09:15 to 09:30 - Arrive to Learning Labs
09:30 to 11:00 - Workshop
11:00 to 11:15 - Break time in the cafe area
11:15 to 12:45 - Workshop
12:45 to 13:30 - Lunch
13:30 to 15:00 - Workshop
15:00 - Return to home/school
Presentations take place on Friday afternoons, we finish at 14:30 on Fridays.
