Game Development
WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
Game development is quite simply the process of creating a video game. It is an exciting career prospect for any young student and a career which will provide great opportunities. You do not have to be a computer game expert to become a Game Developer, skills such as puzzle and problem solving are enough to create an interest in this sector. If you are the boy/girl who even likes to play board games, then the transition to video games and game development can be an easy one.
This workshop gives an in depth background to the thriving video game sector and includes a talk/presentation from an industry expert. Students will also try their hand at basic developing. Please don’t expect to make the next Clash of Clans or PokemanGo in this workshop but do expect to learn how to build simple computer games and also put together some concepts for new video games. You may even have the chance to play some computer games (nudge nudge wink wink!).
On the final day there will be an afternoon of presentations and reflection on the work covered throughout the week.
