WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
It is not necessary to emphasise the fact that our students are growing up in an age where taking photos on a mobile device is, well, just the norm. Each day Facebook has on average 350 million photo uploads while Instagram has an impressive 60 million uploads, we do not have statistics for Snapchat or Whatsapp but we can only imagine the mind blowing increasing number of photos on their servers each day. Students like taking photos!
This Photography & Editing workshop gets students thinking about how we use photos in a world where we all have a camera in our pocket. Students will be shown how to capture authentic photographs using both a DSLR and a mobile device. Photographic tasks will be set for students both inside and outside of the learning space where students will be encouraged to be innovative and creative. The workshop instructor will demonstrate how to edit photos and best display the final images, editing will be done on a computer.
On the final day there will be a presentation session where students will show their top photos of the week and explain the story behind each.

- Workshops are 22 hours per week

15:00 - Return to home/school
Presentations take place on Friday afternoons, we finish at 14:30 on Fridays.
